So, no Briefing again (RL work) so, I'll briefly brief us a brief brief:

We were attempting to break up a chunk of the comet we were tailing using Repulsor Grabby Hands, a few empty torpedoes, Tabby's new "Gravitational Air Cannon (GAC)", and the skillful flying of our Chief of Flight Operations, all while trying to avoid detection by the Kinshayan Ball-Ship that's been following a string of "unusual phenomena".

And, Relok and T'Lin have apparently contracted some kind of "telepathic contagion" from their psionic reconnaissance of the Kinshayans and their "mystic".

T'Lin allowed her "alter ego", "Mama" to take over so T'Lin could "rest", but even Mama was beginning to succumb. She has now entered a "meditative trance" to help stabilize her mental walls. Relok remains conscious and is actively cooperating with Adon and Kat in trying to find out what's wrong with them.

Oh, and we've begun picking up transmissions of some kind of "Looney Tunes" television program from the planet. There are other comm signals but we haven't deciphered them yet.

And there are a few incoming warp signatures. These are likely just regular freighters, or maybe some scientific exploration of the passing comet. Maybe.

The GAC, if I'm still getting it right, is much more focused and we can direct it instead of just around the front of the ship.

$ So, let's get one of those cortical imager thingies on his head. We'll need to do some calibration for the Vulcan mind, and then ....

Relok's forehead is cool to Kat's touch, the opposite of feverish. The imager takes only a few seconds to calibrate and then begins displaying the map of his brain activity on the monitor over the bed.

# Maybe we should try to break the ship more on purpose, then it will happen less? ::giving a smirk, then looks at a beep:: Hmmm..with the MIRAGE not working fully, it looks like we're creating a small type of wake. If they look that damn hard, we might be noticed. Or at least peak some curiosity.

The "religious activity" Recon picked up is related to the centennial passage of Urgulmar's Comet. Apparently it is some kind of holiday.

The combined effects of the Repulsor Grabby Hands, the GAC, the torpedo casings (and their small impact charges), break apart the huge hunk of ice and the two pieces split apart ... barely wide enough for the Penumbra to pass between them.

The Ball-Ship that had been "following" us alongside the comet suddenly stops mid-flight as the chunk of ice splits "of its own accord".

One of the pieces of the broken chunk of ice has become a small comet on its own ... and it looks like it might be headed toward the planet!

Could we perhaps bring it in if it's small enough? Would be great to study.

The Penumbra is still maintaining MIRAGE and is not "directly" observed leaving the main comet's tail ... however, a significant "wake" of comet tail particles follow us for half a kilometer before evaporating in the solar wind.

Grabby Hands reach out to seize the comet and the mass and speed of the thing causes extreme stress on the ship's power supply.
